Quote:

We learn this morning that a drama took place in the Brest company AFS
a different private order to oppose 2 staff members around the machine to cut the ham
In a fit of madness, one of the protagonists catching the mast like a Celtic ax
whirling it over the unfortunate man to end up planting the fuselage in the back of his colleague to the stabilizer.

Awesome video, Chris.

That's not your daddy's kite: https://flysurfer.com/project/sonic2/

Yeah, pretty amazing. Foils have really broken barriers for both kites and sails.

When it warms up, still tempted to drag out a big sail, formula board and foil to see what happens.

Edit: In the meantime - Nicholas of Zeeko, himself

Re: More FOLI content

I would imagine the most difficult part would be getting the kite and foil launched in the first place. Once up in the air and moving apparent wind and a little more wind aloft may be what is keeping it going. Seems possible he may have launched earlier when wind was better and just managed to keep it going after the wind dropped and the water became glassy.

Or maybe he got the kite above the "dome effect". Yes 3

More details by someone from New Caledonia (blame Google for the translation from French)

" and in addition we have a group of New Caledonian fans on the site is motivating! I have 3 sessions more than 29.90 knots on 2s but impossible to type the 30 still DiabloDiabloDiablo and a fortnight above 28.5. A few V500 at over 28 knots, on my spot very irregular is not bad! I want to point out that above 20-22 knots of wind I put away the foil I feel too old to take risks, as long as I'm in control in 6.3 basically, and that's what I appreciate on the NP F4 this ability to go very fast without forcing. I can tell you that when Nico farted the 35 knots I sailed in 4.2 wave board with cleat (30-35 knots of wind), and he in 7.1 Vapor !!! I would not have set foot on a foil that day! Huge respect for his level and his courage too, he takes sacred boxes sometimes and at these speeds ShokShokShok is broken, but fortunately that stuff for now, the animal is solid!"

Re: More FOLI content

Interesting thread on Seabreeze. A guy is converting older boards, including longboards to foil. It is linked on the right hand side of the WSA* home page, but may not get much attention there.
