More details by someone from New Caledonia (blame Google for the translation from French)

" and in addition we have a group of New Caledonian fans on the site is motivating! I have 3 sessions more than 29.90 knots on 2s but impossible to type the 30 still Diablo Diablo Diablo and a fortnight above 28.5. A few V500 at over 28 knots, on my spot very irregular is not bad! I want to point out that above 20-22 knots of wind I put away the foil I feel too old to take risks, as long as I'm in control in 6.3 basically, and that's what I appreciate on the NP F4 this ability to go very fast without forcing. I can tell you that when Nico farted the 35 knots I sailed in 4.2 wave board with cleat (30-35 knots of wind), and he in 7.1 Vapor !!! I would not have set foot on a foil that day! Huge respect for his level and his courage too, he takes sacred boxes sometimes and at these speeds Shok Shok Shok is broken, but fortunately that stuff for now, the animal is solid!"

Interesting thread on Seabreeze. A guy is converting older boards, including longboards to foil. It is linked on the right hand side of the WSA* home page, but may not get much attention there.

Pics of the new Severne Hyperglide. Dave Ezzy isn't wrong about more area under the boom, but this shows how to do it in a way that (to me) makes more aerodynamic sense.

Note the 530 mast length for a 9.0. Shok Looks like my old formula sails may not be worth as much but the masts certainly will. 520/530 masts available for cheap. Lol

Oz. Foil similar to my Starboard but with optional 95cm fuse

Bermuda. First couple of minutes are pretty cool. Dodging coral heads and blitzing by some Optis.

Re: More FOLI content

That looks so amazing and when I'm about to pull out my wallet I realize we don't have those swells here. Tried to play on the small swell the other day but I couldn't slow down enough plus not enough swell to really feel it. I'm going to keep trying, though. It's interesting how boards tend to get tuned for their locales: Tillo for Biscayne Bay and his for Lake Erie.

Re: More FOLI content

Along with Bic, AHD, another brand that's been relatively quiet for a few years has a new foilboard. In fairness, they were at the front of the foil movement but struggled to make it affordable and accessible.

But don't feel like you need a new board to get started. The Bic 133 and 148 can be picked up used pretty cheap and make decent intro boards
"Monteynard has plenty of foilers with Zeeko and Bic 133 or 148, and they fly great, after of course there is better gear, but ..."

Dorrian van Rijsselberghe, Kiran Badloe and Aaron McIntosh talk windfoils.

Edit: check out the nose of the board around 15:00. Apparently, Gene, Foildood and me aren't the only ones going over the front. Biggrin

Shok To his credit, he did not let go of the boom. Biggrin
