Cautiously looking out towards the end of the week and weekend

Hopefully that's actual breeze and not just the random rain shower.

fwiw, noticed that the breeze picks up a bit around 4:30 the last few windy weekend days (westerlies).

I have The Great Wind Altar properly positioned where the sun’s rays are stoking the internal tension. I’ll plan for stoking wind on Saturday Sunday. Any preferences on magnitude?

The Wind Alterer demands some tricky moves (I have mastered several one):
“While looking into the picture, light match and quickly proceed to ignite candles…”

The manual was getting a little worn so, as the current stoker, I’ve cleaned up the pages and made a fresh copy to go with the Altar. This edition includes The Lost Scroll of the Wind Altar which is the fascinating backstory of how Lake Lanier came to be and it’s shocking connection to The Great Wind Altar, penned by Stoker numero uno, Scott “Shred Dog” Spreen.

I’ve made a few extra copies of the hilarious Manual. Let me know if you want one (so you can bone up for when the Altar is your responsibility... or, to keep by the toilet). Good

I'll settle for 10-15. I asked for a bit more last Thursday and it backfired on me spectacularly. Shok

What kind of beer flavored libation does the Stoker favor these days? I remember it's one of those South of the Border types instead of the Land of Windmill types but forget the exact persuasion.

Do we need to add or edit anything on the wiki page for the Manual? https://windsportatlanta.com/wiki/The_Wind_Altar

Amstel, of course. It’s in the manual. There’s a drawer in the altar with a special velvet-lined cutout that holds a beer bottle. Because real Amstel wasn't sold here (Amstel Light would never do) I went to the Atlanta KLM office and explained the The Great Wind Altar and the necessity that it be stocked with an Amstel. It took a little convincing (that I was not in fact crazy) but that unopened bottle still sits comfortably in its special place. Good

Okay, the Amstel story is worthy of a post of its own. We need ALL THE DETAILS!

Fingers crossed. Sunday's forecast of NW wind is looking more promising. IF it blows, I plan to go to Van Pugh.

There is yet another gnarly looking T'storm bearing down on the lake today.
The LLSC beach/camping area just reopened after last Thursday's damage. Scratch one-s head

Planning for Sunday Good
