A buddy of mine (the friends you meet at windfoiling events!) shared this with me. He's up in Avon, OBX. Using a 5.8/97L/32.5cm setup in 25-30 kts of wind. Yeah, the water is flat but as anyone who's tried to crack even 30 mph can tell you, it starts to get scary at those speeds.
fwiw, that would get you a ticket in the old days driving through small SC towns on the way to Myrtle Beach. (40.3 mph)
Also, congrats to Stephen Janes who clocked a peak of 38.6mph in Ocracoke last week. He and Christophe could have some fun together!

Future 101. 5.0 sail. Canβt remember the wind speed. 38.6mph is wild!
My best was set on its big brother, a 5.7. Dang that was a good quiver. Still have a couple of the small sizes in the garage.
Well done. Love the pic!
Teeny ones. Like 3.7/4.0.

for sale?
Let me check this weekend what's actually there. Likely for sale cheap - I've got newer stuff now in that size range.
Meanwhile, our Olympic boys (men) are ripping it up, too.

"New PB top speed for me on the foil, 66.6 km/h which translates to 35.96 knots π΅π΅ Pedro was able to go 0.1 km/h quicker which ticked him to 36.0 knots
Not bad for some pieced together slalom kit πͺπΎ"

Living vicariously
Yeah that's nuts. That's the old starboard 550 with IQFoil mast/stab and board, 5.0 hyperglide. I really don't need to upgrade foils that much to break 30kts apparently...maybe get smaller race sails.
I have one (550), too. So, I'm guessing 33-34 is just around the corner for me. Right? Right?
I'm honestly ashamed at my own speed skills, just glad to know I'm not held back by gear. Looking for the right conditions, but we've kicked off the afternoon storms and I've been busy enough with things that I've missed some good morning sessions.
