A buddy of mine (the friends you meet at windfoiling events!) shared this with me. He's up in Avon, OBX. Using a 5.8/97L/32.5cm setup in 25-30 kts of wind. Yeah, the water is flat but as anyone who's tried to crack even 30 mph can tell you, it starts to get scary at those speeds.
fwiw, that would get you a ticket in the old days driving through small SC towns on the way to Myrtle Beach.
