Nine windsurfers converged on Van Pugh Park for a rare summer afternoon of NW wind. I joined Dave, Jim, William, Chris V., Langdon, Ed, Gene, and Maricio.
Here are a couple of photos taken late in the day as the wind was fading. There were actually few boats and we had the Park almost to ourselves.
Why, thanks, Randy! Actually, my jibes continue to suck but I had a few today that didn't end like an old time river baptism.
Great pics, Barrett. My co-parishioner at the Congregation of the Immaculate Ascension had it wired today. Good to see everyone out. Hopefully, Friday morning holds up.
Here's what a 5.4 day looks like sitting on top of a foil
Friday's forecast for East wind looks promising. I plan on heading to Van Pugh mid-morning. It looks like another good opportunity for Wm. to practice those high-speed jibes.
Where and what time?
Lets do this!
Wed is def a VP session. Today is trying to figure out if the wind is pre/during/post thunderstorm.
Verdict still out on Friday.
Now, where did I put my 115 l. board?
I am going to OF (-270) or VP(+270) at 5:30 - 6 today.
Going to try again tomorrow at VP
And if the forecast holds I am going to take some of Friday off and ride some East wind
I’ll try to scheduele Dr. Van Pugh appointment on Wednesday afternoon.
Ed
I hope to WS tomorrow (Wed) afternoon at VP, if the wind picks up from the NW. I'm also free Friday if we get East wind.

I plan on sailing at Van Pugh this afternoon. The forecast of NW wind looks promising.

Wow - William is really screaming into his jibes with speed!!

I'm impressed with Barrett's timing taking that picture of Chris at exactly 4:10 pm.

You'll have to come see us. He was on the foil all afternoon. It really changes things.
I'm just jealous....
