I think you could do better. Gene and Chuck can put together some nice packages for not much more. Shipping will kick your butt also.

Asaf -- That setup is sooooo overpriced, it's not even funny. You buying this would be equivalent to buying a 1994 computer for $800 bucks. This setup is at least 12 years old -- and even if it has never been used, its worth $350 max. Please run from this 'deal' like your pants are on fire!
Whitecap windsurfing has a good info on buying your first board here: http://www.whitecapwindsurfing.com/rental/05firstgear.html . For a few hundred dollars more you could have brand new, state of the art windsurfing gear that you will never outgrow.
Asaf...enjoying this sport can be very rewarding...and very frustrating! The right equipment makes all the difference...I'd recommend coming to the Starboard/Sailworks demo clinic next weekend, 3/25..and listen to these local guys that have been doing this thing in local conditions for years...They know what they're talking about! If you are even considering the setup on ebay, that tells me you could benefit from some research, and next weekend would really show you where the sport is in 2006. I commend you for asking for advice first...it will probably save you some heartache. John
Thats a really misleading ad, they have a photo of a guy jumping a JP
with a north sail and they are selling a hi-fly... what a scam!
Good advice from all. I am familiar with this board. I bought that exact board for my first shortboard. I do think you can do much better. Interesting that the picture of the guy sailing is not the equipment that is up for sail. The board he is sailing on is a JP and the sail is a North. I would steer clear from someone who tells you flat out that "I dont know anything about this equipment." I would work with the local guys here who have local sailing knowlege and know what works here in Atlanta. Good luck. Trey
