I'm probably heading to the baby pool. Its hard to figure the direction - forecasts were saying sw, which is not ideal at Galts, but is fine at Old 41. However, if it head nw then Galts is better.

flip, where were you? TC and I were there from about 3ish till 6 or so. Pure delight. Perfect 6.5 day- very few boats, very steady wind.

No one else turned up? What gives? It had to be one of the sweeter days I've enjoyed. The ramps weren't great but the wind was wonderfully consistent and water well organized. It was just jibe after jibe after jibe. We missed you guys and girls.

Same story at the baby pool, but less wind and fewer people (1 instead of 2). I went to Galts first, but it was dead, ended up over at Old 41. The wind was nice but not very strong. If I had brough my 9.6 it would have been pretty solid, but with 7.9 it was planning in the gusts only. Since it was reported 20-29 when I left, I brought my 5.2 instead of 9.6. But, I pretty much had the lake to myself, without many boats to contend with.

I think the thing tha probably kept a lot of people away was that it looked "threatening" a lot of the time. (Dark clouds, suggesting t-strom.) Since t-storms were in the forecast, it probably kept a lot of people away.
