Windsurfing Magazine Starboard Serenity

Does anyone know what ever happened the the Starboard Serenity that was being passed around the country? I was just curious after seeing the picture in the forum.

I was thinking, "why doesn't Starboard do another limited run of these?" Then I saw Cookie having to gingerly tack it and I had my answer. 50cm wide is going to be a challenge for many. (Randy on Lake Acworth doesn't count! Biggrin )

Of course, Balz has foiled one (10:15 for the actual footage_

I tried Randy's Serenity. Went upwind wonderfully. Reaching was fine. I found it really awkward going downwind. There's no fin at the back so it doesn't like to track straight. Randy had it figured out though.

Kinda looks like a Serenity/foil combo would be ideal for typical Fall Classic conditions. Maybe add ballast to the foil fuse to offset the tipiness.
