What should I bring and where IS this place?

Chuck said "food donation" which I think means "money for food", but we've got dinner covered, and the basics for breakfast. (So you needn't bring money or food for dinner unless burgers or veggie burgers are not sufficiently goremette). You're on your own for lunch (Good sandwiches at Pop's Stop right before you get to the club). Oh, and bring a chair if you think you might want to sit down.

There's a bunch of stuff going on at the club this weekend, so it should be a lot of fun. It may also be a bit crowded, so bring some patience and a smile. Parking may be a little tight. Plan on dropping your gear at the beach and parking where you can. Please be sure you're not blocking any boats or trailers. Campers should mostly be able to park at their campsites.

To get to Lake Lanier Sailing Club: Go I-85 north to I-985 to Exit 12 Spout Springs Rd. Turn left and go about a mile. Go straight at the light, across the railroad tracks and turn right on Railroad Ave (clever name). Go 2 blocks to the caboose and turn left on Caboose Street (aka Main St) to the end. Turn right on Gainesville Street and go straight across McEver Rd. at the light onto Jim Crow Rd. This becomes Old Federal Rd. It's 2.3 miles from McEver to the Club entrance on the left. Keep straight and look for "camping" signs to the right. Lost? call 404-386-8505. See you there!

P.S. Sorry, but pets still aren't allowed at LLSC. Sad . I know, doesn't seem right... Geese (and what comes with 'em) we got plenty, but no doggies.

Chris,

Thanks again for making all of these arrangements. It's looking like a great weekend.
