Well, Marcel called today??

Yep, he called and said he was going to VP and wanted to know if I was going. I was working and couldn't leave but it did look a tad breezy. When I got home I checked NOAA and low and behold

11 14:53 SW 15 G 23 10.00 A Few Clouds FEW060 89 58 29.96 1012.6
11 13:53 SW 14 G 22 10.00 Fair CLR 90 62 90 72 29.98 1013.2
11 12:53 SW 16 G 25 10.00 Fair CLR 89 61 30.00 1013.9
11 11:53 W 13 G 18 10

I missed the first real day of fall windsurfing on Lanier.

I am working on my board and it should be ready in about 4 more days. I will be ready next time.

BTW I just bought a new 7.5 EZZY so my Neil Pryde 8.0 sail, 490 X5 mast and Neil Pryde boom will be in Gene's consignment as soon as he gets home.

Peel - you didn't miss that much, at least based on my luck. I got there too late (hit the water about 14:30) and it was windy enough that I needed to rig down from 7.4 to 6.0. No sooner than I did that, and the wind dropped off, so that 6.0 (though I could plane in a few gusts) didn't cut it. Finally quit about 16:00. I sailed 2 Mile, which looked good direction wise at the start, but the wind went north, so it wasn't ideal. VP may have been a better call. (Then again, perhaps I'd have missed everything had I gone there.)
