Yeah, if you only knew. Shok (and, of course, you would have had no idea so don't feel bad saying it)

Barrett, Haizar and JB briefly foiled on 8s (windfoilx2 and wing) and then the wind started to fade. I went out on a 6m2 wing and had my first paddle in. We all could tell it looked like rain so everyone was packing up (even though earlier the radar showed everything staying north of us). I was the last one to leave. It started to look nasty but my OCD kicked in and I wanted to take another look where I was rigging to see if I left a leash or something. That was either a mistake or very lucky.
As I started to drive off, the squall line hit. The water turned white as I tried to speed though to the exit because I was afraid of something falling on me. I had committed not realizing how hard it was going to blow. By the time I got to the exit, a try just outside the park had fallen across the road completely blocking it. I made a run for the trailer parking area trying to stay away from the trees and parked eventually by the bathrooms. Trees started snapping like twigs and it blew about as hard as I've ever seen (including a Nor'easter and tropical depression in OBX). Took some pics that I've posted below. It took an hour plus but the road was cleared and the Hall Co. EMS boat came through with a couple of emergency vehicles. Hoping that whoever they launched for is okay.

Chris V was at LLSC where he got blocked in (I'll let him tell his whole story) but, again, Hall Co EMS ended up clearing the road trying to get to an emergency at Old Fed campground.

Gene, just up the road sustained damage to his house but he's okay.
Apparently, people were blocked in at Aqualand until at least nine (last post I saw).
Also, pics on this FB post and a couple of videos: https://www.facebook.com/groups/260284971547629/posts/1316142975961818 /Comment on the post says a tornado touched down in Oakwood.
When I got home in Atlanta, it had barely sprinkled.

Pretty scary at the sailing club- trees snapping and crashing all around, blocking both roads out of the camping area. The water was all spray. I was able to take a golf cart path after clearing downed limbs but still was stuck by a big tree down across Crowe Rd. Fire and EMS cleared one lane pretty fast, to get to Old Fed camping. Took an hour to get to Gene’s, 3 miles away. I haven’t heard of any injuries- amazing.

Is it wise to go today considering what happened yesterday? I have my board in the van. Just in case I can escape from work.

Glad everybody is okay.

The parks may closed today for evaluation.
I’d call first Ed.

VP is open.

Crew cleaning.
People swimming
People pickanicking.

Currently a lot more wind than yesterday.
(Which means there is a decent breeze)

The average wind speed yesterday was decent... Lol

Anybody have a G'ville Times subscription? https://www.gainesvilletimes.com/news/weather/storm-rolls-through-hall-knocks-out-power-25000/

Gilmer reported gusts around 50 yesterday but curious what we had. Athens had a straight line gust of 69.
