Wed E 15-20?

Hey,

Glen Burns, along with a couple other forecasts, are prognosticating East winds around 15-20 tomorrow with temps around 50. If they're correct, it'd be a nice Galt's or Vann's Tavern day. I loaded up just in case, but won't be able to get there 'till late unless I can reschedule an appointment. Galt's would be my call as the flat water will be a nice break from Friday's pounding at VP (plus saving an hour driving). I might even bear off and plane on a Starboard tack! Was too scared for that on Friday.

Randy,

Schedule is clear, just waiting on the wind. 10:00 AM reports are; Atlanta E13, Kennesaw E13, Marietta E12G18. Temps in mid 40's.

I hope we don't get skunked. East winds are not known for sticking around in the afternoon. Forecasts do show them peaking late though.

Ended up going to Vann's Tavern. Dobbins and McCollum were only reporting about 7 when Gainsville was saying 13, so I headed north around 9 am. Turned out to be a cold, but windy day. I was on a 6.0. Some of the time a little bigger would have done, but my 7.2 was too big (for me at least).

It was still going when I left around 1:30 though by then a bigger sail might have been the call.

Hey,

Galt's was outstanding from 4:00-5:30 yesterday. I left work at the normal time, thinking it didn't look good. I stopped by Galt's just out of curiousity (I though Radny might be there) and decided to rig the 6.5 and Phoenix. I was rewarded with almost 100% planning on nice flat water and steady winds. Felt just like Hatteras, only colder and with deeper water. Got to do some nice (and not so nice) jibes. It even picked up as it got later.

What's interesting about all this is that the WC and many of the other forecasts and some of the models were saying 5-10. Pays to really watch it closely on easterlies.
