Barrett, David W and I are heading to Van Pugh, (it's 9:00 am), to give it a try.
I just got back from St Pete last night, looks like ya'll had a few days here over the weekend, I sailed at the St Pete pier on Monday, from about 10 thru 4 on the big stuff (8.5) but planed the whole time, then was blown off the water when some clouds came over. A local sailor with great timing, arrived and rigged a 5.5 and was flying, BUT by the time I broke down my 8.5 and rigged my 5.2 and put on a weed fin, I missed the hard stuff. It lasted about 30 min.
Hopefully we'll get some sailing in today.

I guess the east wind shutting off early was true today. When I arrived at about 9:45, it was looking good, alot of caps. I rigged my 7.2 but by the time I got on the water it was starting to shut down, and kept trying to go north. Barrett and David rigged 8+'s and Joe OLeary rigged a 9.9, but it went on down. I planed a few times early and Joe planed some on his big rig. It was a nice day, we ate lunch, told some lies, etc.
Maybe tomorrow?
