You and I had some luck with Athens Park on a North wind a couple of years back. On a N wind there shouldn't be much if any wind shadow and you should be able to sail up the main channel toward LanMar. Of course if it stops blowing you have a rather long downwind leg before you hit land as I discovered last time.
Kiters might take a look at West Bank park. Its a fairly good N launch for windsurfing. There is a little cove you have to make it out of, but now that the water is down, that may not be a problem. Its worth driving by and taking a look.
