I've never heard of anybody sailing there (as a "windsurf deity", it seems like I would know). One of my fellow deities, Randy, is the King, erβ I mean God of secret spots... he mighta been there.
I checked it out on Google earth and it looks like any wind on it would be painfully shifty & gusty... but it could be fun. Ponds seem to have a habit of being in low places, but this looks like the dam might give it some elevation and maybe decent exposure to a southeast wind. (It rarely blows from the SE around here). If it's close to home, give it a try.
Larryville is close to lots of good spots on Lanier.
Sorry never even heard of that lake. I'd say try it. Unless there is a fence around what is there to lose? Can anyone tell menwhere to find it on the map? I keep wanting to try the hooch sometime as Chris P has suggested.
