Wally Windsurfing

Nice article on the Wally and light wind wave sailing. Reminds me why I'll probably never sell my F2 Phoenix 320. I had a great time sailing it on Lake Hefner in OKC with Scott G. and Andrew B. few weeks ago. On one light wind day (10-15) I just rigged a 6.5 and cruised around the whole lake, including the marina and in front of the waterfront restraurants. Very relaxing, especially after 4.2 session with 35-45 mph winds a few days earlier. I even use the Phoenix as an SUP as the dimensions are practically the same. Caught a wave with it the first try in Hilton Head. Using the centerboard makes it even more stable when paddling.

Btw, I sailed 7 out of 7 days out there on OKC. 4.2 thru 8.5. Scott's house is less that a mile from the launch. Really nice place to windsurf. Guess I could some post pictures if I knew how.

Re: Wally Windsurfing

Thanks for reading. You should be able to create an album and upload pics when you go to the Foto Gallery. If you can't sort it out (tutorial is on to do list), email them to me.

Neat thing now is how attention is being given to light air SUP wave gear.
