William, Jim & I sailed at Van Pugh this afternoon. With 13 mph West wind reported at Gainesville AP, it was a perfect time to try out my new JP Super Light Air board & 8.5m Ezzy sail. William had his formula board & 9.5m Ezzy sail. You've probably seen William plane in light wind, but with a meter smaller sail & extra weight I didn't expect to reach warp speed. Dem was good dots* yesterday. I had another great encounter with a windsurfing fan, this time with a guy sailing a Catalina (more on this later). Nice to have Mr. B and Jim join me. Big gear can be a PITA sometimes but ripping across flat water is a sublime joy. The other cool part is throw in some tacks upwind and then sledding down hill.
