I think someone down in Peachtree City was sniffing jet exhaust fumes last night when they did the forecast this morning. They called for light and variable winds. All the models were calling for NW/N 8-12 and that's exactly what I got this morning. Planed about 75% of the time on my 10.8. Lovely day, with temps in the high 70s. The sail didn't get to be a handful even when the wind was up to maybe 13-14 in the gusts. A lot of N to the wind which made launching a pain. I went off the swimming beach which made the BAFing lane from lower Aqualand over to the islands just west of V.P (separating VP N and S).
Hope they didn't cause anyone to miss a nice light air sesh.

I've noticed a definite trend in your max sail size. I can recall not too long ago when it was 9.0, anything larger would be too difficult in Georgia's gusty conditions. Any chance we might see you dangleing from a kite soon?

If I get caught out on that 10.8, you'll see me dangling from that. The wind was reasonably steady, the gusts were certainly manageable. I think that some of the days I've been caught out, if I'd been on that sail, I'd be washed up in Gene's backyard.
Go ahead and tell them how it feels to jet across the water when its almost like glass. Its like water sking on a calm glassy day without a noisy money guzzling machine pulling you around, but way better.
