No lying, Tuesday may have been the best day of lake sailing I have had in the last ten years. I got almost 3 straight hours of fully (to often overpowered) 3.7 on a 67L wave board with temps staying in the upper 50s. The wind backed off in the afternoon, but it was still perfect for Elizabeth to get a few hours on the 3.7 as well. Heck, even the 3.2 got rigged. Freakin awesome.
How did Lanier fare?

Chris is so right! It was a epic sort of day at Lake Thurmond. Rarely. if ever, do I recall a lake day over the last several years when I was on 4.0 for four hours that wasn't full of killer lulls and gusts. I wouldn't say it was totally filled-in every second, but it was a sweet, sustained 4.0 day (84 liter board) that never made you think much about rigging up or...giving up. STOKE!

It rocked at Galts too. Not 3 meter stuff, but I had fun on my 5.2.
How was it at Lanier?

What happens in a black hole stays in a black hole.
Lanier was good, but not like what Chris & Chuck had. Sail sizes ranged from 4.7 ? to 5.5s, we had about 6 or 7 sailors.

At Van Pugh- 4.7 to 5.5 Big fun. Some lulls and holes but not bad. Nice ramps.
Hizzoner Jere Wood, Gene, Chris P., Chris V., Barrett, Michel K. David D. looked hard but didn't sail "too cold"... It wasn't though! I was not cold at all, David!

In Augusta, the wind was the strongest from 8:30-11:30am (our local airport reported a gust of 50 around 9:30). I guess being 100 miles east made a pretty big difference Tuesday.
Elizabeth got some pictures I'll post when I have some time...
go here to check out the wind data for tuesday for aug. and gain.
