We enjoyed a beautiful afternoon at Van Pugh. Marcel and Milos were already on the water when I arrived and rigged an 8.3 meter sail. Jim and Joel joined us later. For and hour and a half I was powerd up. Around 4PM the West wind dropped as the sky darkened from an approaching storm. The squall briefly whipped the surface into whitecaps, but then moved on before we could re-rig.

Glad to hear someone enjoyed the wind yesterday. We (the kiters) arrived at Old Federal just a little to late, around 3;45pm. Just as I was ready to take out the 14 on a surfboard, the wind wipped up and sand was blowing everywhere. That's when Emilio and Bogdan showed up. I blew up my 11m only to get it ready just as the wind died....

Fun day yesterday. I watched the guys at VP for a bit then went to Aqualand to meet Charlie O. at his boat, an O'day 23. I did some sail repair & we motored over to the beach at LLSC where he did some freediving to free up a stuck swing keel. We started sailing about 5:00 or so & returned at dusk. Moderately but nicely powered, we had a most excellent session, pretty much had the lake to ourselves.
I sailed w/ The Lost Boys at Charleston harbor. Sweet sunset sesh on 6.5 (me), 7.5 (Stanger & Mac Semken) & 8.5 (Dan Olivier). What a cool place. Picked up my pimped Superlight from Dave... now have to figure out how to work it.
pimped Superlight? What is that?
Stangerized Superlight = bullet proof gasket, moveable mast track (replacing the holes), fin box, non-skid, fill & fair bottom.
No rims?
