Good for a little while this morning. The swaying trees on the road up induced me to rig a 5.7 thinking I was going big. Ended up planing half the time for about an hour and then the wind faded.
Who was sailing way upwind of VP this morning? The breeze looked good up there but there wasn't any way I was going to get up there on a 32 cm fin underpowered on a wave sail.

By far the best day of the season. What more could you ask for when it is sunny, warm, not-cold water, and totally powered up to overpowered on my 7.5. This was the kind of day I long for at Lanier. :D
Sorry, David, I just had to post a reply that used more emoticons than you.
Glad to hear the day was fun-
oh yeah, almost forgot ;)
I also had a really good day of sailing until my foot strap broke leading into a chain reaction of my mast foot and base breaking. As I lay under my sail struggling to unhook my harness, my board succumbed to the wind gods floating (more like crusing) out of my reach - MANY THANKS to Alan who - after not being able to sail to my board - jumped in and swam to retreive my board and bring it to me - possibly saving my life (things were looking grim). Again - many thanks to you Alan!!
Kudos, but nobody has a nifty picture attched to thier post like me. :P
In Fort Lauderdale it was 86 and blew 20 and the water was 80.

Tuesday for me was good, if somewhat puffy, off&on, & much more West than I would have liked ( bad wind shadow ). I sailed 5.6 on the E-rock all day. From 12 to 2 or 3, the puffs were more sustained. By 4 0r 5 the wind was improving and I was hoping for a turn to NW so I could go to a smaller board, but that didn't happen until I was beat and out of my suit. So it goes. I'm hoping for a session from this next system.
