So how did it go up there? Anyone seen Gene? Did he redeem himself? Story at 9:00. I'm down at merritt island, and today was preety good, but I'd bet it was better up there. I sailed 6.5 and 116l and 7.5 today, west switching to northwest all day. Water was flat, warm (i was in my shorts and skins) sailed about 5.5 hours. Man this flat water stuff is a lot of fun. I needed it after having my tail handed to me serveral times weeks ago in Columbia, SC. Its still bowing here but word is for only 10-15 here tomorow.

Ho humm. What a snoozer over here in Augusta. I was getting spanked ALL day on a 3.3 and a 68l board. Geez it would be nice to get some real wind once in a while. Man, getting killed on a 3.3 is soooo boring. I was really hoping to get my 2.7 wet... So disappointing!

Sarcasm off now -- Today was the windiest I have ever sailed. Yes, I mean ever! I have been to Hatteras probably 15 times, and I still have never seen wind like this. We had an 'unoffical' gust of 60mph!

Now thats some serious stuff dude, I have a flag I can loan you that I think is about a 1.1 if if comes around again. Glad to see you got out a got a piece of it. Locals down here say that they have had a lot of wind lately, which is encouraging.

juliette

I have never seen lake juliette look like it did yesterday!
lanier size rollers white caps and spray everywhere. NOAA average was 22 gust to 34 and occational gust to 48. Needless to say, I spent more time in the water than on the water. 4.2 would have been a good call, wish I'd had one !

Friday, 3/11 was the windiest day at Lanier in my memory (for what that's worth), but Saturday was even stronger. To me 3.3 sounds extraordinary, but in the mid to late afternoon, that probobly would have worked pretty well. I was pretty OP on a 4.0 Hot gridlock. Looking at sailing today, but shoulder and back are feeling rough, so we'll see.
