Thursday 3-9 Sailing Report

The forecast wind of 20 to 30 kts came in near dark, after 6PM. Sailing at Vann's Tavern on L. Lanier was perfect for the SE wind direction, but disapointing with weak and gusty conditions.

Juliette was about the same, up and down until dusk then it kicked in.
With the south wind and no wind shadow I finally got the EVO wet, awesome board, i love it already.

The 20 to 30 gusts did come after dark at my house, but for about an hour before Barrett arrived at Vanns Tavern, I had a nice session on my 7.0 and 160 ltr board. I would have thought of this as a very nice day (some wind and very warm) except I expected to be sailing my 5.2 or smaller based on the forecast. And wind direction was good at Vanns Tavern.

Pretty good day for me too, though I really had to pay attention to stay in the wind... nice to sail w/out gloves & a beanie.

What the heck kind of cold front is it with no wind on the clearing side. (I guess it just stalled in middle Ga).
