There's some variation in different forecasts, but tomorrow is looking pretty solid to me, with fairly minimal rain increasing late. I'm looking to sail Vann's Tavern, maybe noonish. ChrisP.

I may make it today, and I havent sailed Vanns Tavern for awhile. Depending on how much time I have and the direction, I may have to sail Van Pugh.

Can't make it on Christmas.

I had a nice 2 hour session on my 6.0 and 115 liter board, planing most of the time. In addition to Chris P (5.6,) Al L (6.0) joined us. The East wind was 10-20+. It was overcast but not cold at about 50 degrees. Also, Joe O sailed at Van Pugh.

Vanns Tavern was sweet! The wind direction was perfect, side shore with no shadow. The grassy hill still has it's little drop off to about 2 feet of sandy beach with a gentle slope so the the water depth is shallow for a ways out. I walked my board out to knee deep water, stepped up and planed off. I barely got my feet wet. Landing was the same, sailing in to about knee deep water. Also the rest rooms were still open. The drive was longer, 25 min vs 3 mins, but coming up 85/985, I expect it would add only about 20 mins.

You know, driving to the lake with the trees jerking around from the wind makes you feel kind of like a kid on Christmas morning. Life is Good.

I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas/Happy Holiday and a great New Year.
