The weather forecast is calling for a cold front to blow through on Thursday with windguru calling for a 15mph NW wind. Anyone up for some kiting at Old Federal starting around 1pm?
It may also blow a bit on Wednesday but thursday seems to be lining up to be the bigger day with less chance for rain.

I won't be able to make the meeting tonight but will try very hard to get to old fed around 1p tomorrow (Thurs) for some potential kiting. It's been way too long for me.

Thursday was a pretty good day with good turnout at Old Federal for a little kiting on what appeared to be Lanier River with the water so low. Plenty of beach for launching...
The afternoon started off very up and down wind wise with lots of direction shifts. It was touch to keep them in the air and away from the rocks... I think we had a total of 7 or 8 kiters (Joe, Emilo, Khalil, Sean, Bogdan, Chris myself and Jerry). Thanks for all the help launching Jerry.
At about 4:30 during a bit of a lull several folks called it a day and, of course, the wind picked up and filled in. We had 15 to 23 mph from the NW for another couple of hours. Bogdan was throwing down the back rolls with ease. Khalil got some good table topper jumps that were actually caught on camera. I was able to complete a jibe fairly smoothly on the directional.
Nice semi warm session. Gotta love those temperature changes that bring the wind.
