The E-SE wind was ripping today at Gault's. Maybe the strongest day there that I can remember. Sailed 5.0, though 4.5 would have worked well, I think. Small crowd, suprised more did not make it. Eddie returned a second day, also Alan S., new Alan (sp?), and Dan. I assume some sailed Vann's - report?

Dang, where did that wind come from? We certainly did not get that here in Augusta. A 4.5 at Galts? I don't think that Altoona sailors have ever seen a sail that small !
Van Pugh report... I launched from Van Pugh on Sunday and was very suprised that there was pretty much a clear launch with minimal shadow for the wind diriction... although if you wanted to make it past aqualand, you had to go downwind quite a bit to clear the point. I was sailing a 5.5 which was excellent for most of the afternoon from 12-3. Before I left, the wind seemed to taper off as the sun peeked through the clouds. The only other windsurfer out when I was there was Joe- sailing a 7.0 and shortboard, perfect for the strong gusts. I don't think we'll see another Sunday like this past one for a while... hardly any boaters or picnicers.

Sunday was great at Galts
It is the first time in 16 months that I rig my 5.8m (inGA)
This spot is good with east wind
I will come back!
It seems that next weekend will bring enough (west) wind to go to Van Pugh
Alain (newalan)
That was the first time I have had really good wind at galts, that place rocks on east wind. It didnt look 5.0 from shore, thanks eddie for the advice! great to sail with all of y'all!
