Galts Ferry sunday from 4;30 t 8'30 was great
12-17mph very nice! also flew my 2.0m kite
lots of fun but it took up the whole beach with
120 ft of line  Just before dark the wind shiftedto the
north and pused the kite into the pines

My original plan was to go to Galts if no one was interested in Van Pugh. But against my instincts, I went to Van Pugh (no one was there) just to see what all the hype was about. Well.... did you ever stand on a windsurf board and have nothing happen at all? There seemed to be some wind out in some channel out there, but getting there was impossible. No wonder why no one answered my post. Anyway, I learned my lesson. I won't drive 59 miles unless there is a crowd out there so I will probably stay closer to home (Galt's is 18 miles away)!

aye... now yer a windsurfer. Wait'll ya drive 600 miles and have nothing happen at all, then you'll _really_ be a windsurfer.

Mimi -- too bad you did not make it out to Van Pugh on Saturday!  The wind was pretty good, and there had to be 25 windsurfers there.  If there is a good W, NW or N forecast (say 10-20 or better), Van Pugh is WAY better than Galts. If the wind has any east in it though, Galts would be the better choice since you live so much closer.
