At Van Pugh you have to sail out quite a ways when the wind is SW. Better launches are Sunrise Cove and Two Mile. Two Mile is closer for me. I go there fairly often. You have to get a little ways upwind depending on direction. Check out the "Places to sail" spot for directions. It just west of Vann's Tavern.

It looks like there is going to be some south in the wind...Is Van Pugh still a good launch? Are there any better launches for SW? Thanks, Adam
