Just a report on what you missed. There was a steady East wind about 8-10 from 11:00 to 2:00. Not enough to plane, but a nice day to test drive my longboard restoration project (Alpha Prorace 220) with my 11.0 sail.

It was quite nice. I forgot how well longboards can go upwind. Kinda made the lake seem a lot smaller (lack of water didn't help of course). Less than two tacks and I was directly upwind, next to the island that's just past the Marina.

Just a few more sessions like this and I'll be ready for the Fall Classic. Maybe I can give Mr. Stanger some competition! We'll, if I can use my 11.0 that is... /Bill H.

Pretty similar at Tidwell. I was sailing my 8.4, and got some planning runs in early on my hypersonic, but it took a lot of pumping. Had I sailed my 9.5 and Formula, it would have beeen pretty solid planning for an hour or so, I think. But it was a good longboarding day. Not bad for August.
