Starboard line at ACWA Spring Picnic demo

I don't mean to beat this to death but, I thought all my fellow ABCers ought to know about this, even though its a 3 hour drive east on I-20. The ACWA Spring Picnic this Saturday at Lake Murray this Sat. the 12th will be an unprecedented opportunity -- at least for around here -- to see a huge range of the latest model windsurf boards side by side, and test drive any or all of them, if weather allows. Roger Jackson carries virtualy the entire line of Starboard boards, the most extensive, innovative line by far in the business, along with the Sailworks RETRO and REVO sails in all full meter sizes from 5.0 up. He tells me has the following on hand -- wouldn't believe it if I had't seen his pile of boards at the Calema Midwinters-:

EVO 80 and 92
KOMBAT 95
FREESEX 90 and 110
GO 155, 175, and 185
COMPACT 126
CARVE-- all of them, that's 7 sizes from 94 to 161 liters
S-TYPE 104, 115, and 126
F-TYPE 138, 148, and 158
FORMULA 159
EXPERIENCE FORMULA 136 and 156
HYPERSONIC 111, 133
START -- all 3 sizes
and, in kid-specific boards:
STARSURFER S-100 and M-140
ProKids ACID, ProKids EVO, Prokids S-TYPE, Prokids FORMULA
You can see all this at http://www.star-board.com

Don't forget to RSVP to me if you're coming. (whitecapws@hotmail.com) We'll begin gathering about 11:00am. I'll send out directions to the RSVP list around Thursday. It ought to be great fun regardless of the weather. We've had lots of BIG WIND lately, so the lies and war stories should make it worthwhile. Blum 3

As of Thursday evening they are forecasting 25-35 with temps in the mid 50s. Imagine, actually being able to demo brand new boards in real wind -- this could be epic!

You can find the directions here. http://www.whitecapwindsurfing.com/home_sidetopics/bulletinboard.html
