I'm thinking 45ºF is not quite in the fun zone. I would like to check out St. George Island and that area (San Blas?). Who knows the deal there... where to stay (cheap) where to sail etc? F'cast there is 70º, wind south 15 on Saturday, 60º, north wind @ 15 on Sunday.

Chris - marine f'cast says becoming South 15-20 Sat. afternoon & Sunday North 15-20.... which sounds like ideal conditions for the St. Joe Bay at the State park at Cape San Blas. If you're willing to camp there's a campground at the park, providing there are vacancies. This time of year, I wouldn't figure motels would be too bad - there are probably 1 or 2 in Port St. Joe. Check it out.
What about a road trip in Jan or Feb to Cape San Blas or Fred Howard?

That is a perfect forecast for Cape San Blas Park (one of my all time favorite places to sail, although there was a shark attack there two years ago)

C'mon you guys. Its time to man-up! This is no time to get scared off by a little cold water and colder air. If this is too cold, its not going to get any better in January or Feb.

Let's hope the sun come out and it warms up into the low 40's in the afternoon. The good news is the water warmed up to 58F. I'm thinking of going Sunday.

OK, who is going and at what time. Cold all day, best wind in the morning, sun in the afternoon...I really don't want to go when it's this cold, but we've had so little wind.
I think that I will probably go early to catch the best wind. I'm thinking of 9am at Vann Pugh if anyone else confirms that they will go early. Otherwise I'll stay home.
