I'll probably be at Allatoona around 1:30 Saturday if forecast holds (currently for 12mph 1:00 on). Will likely also be there Sunday around 4:00 to help a friend learn.
Fun day on Lanier even though the wind wasn't quite as advertised. Hamdi, Gene, JB, Craig, Rhett, Richard, Langdon, Channey, Ed and I did VP and I think I saw Roland winging off OF campground. Didn't make it up to OF on my tour but did make it over to the LLSC and hung out with the A-cats for a while before heading back. Most windfoils were in the 7-8 range and wings from 6.5-8.
Sight of the day. Stayed late in the day hoping for a bit of wind to settle in as the day cooled off and keep Ed company on his second foil day. He finally got lit up and foiled all the way across to Aqualand. I kept thinking he'd blow up, settle in the water, foil out or do any of the stupid things I did when I started out but he just sent it all the way across. To paraphrase Chris Voith, he was up so long, his board dried off. I AM SO HAPPY FOR HIM.
I almost gave up after three hours bobing around. I was about to call it a day and got out from the water, looked back and saw some gray water and decided to give it another try. It was enough for few runs, way more for William. He gave me some tips on what I was doing wrong and there was another gust to try them out. Thanks William.

Glats Saturday seems to have 5-15 minute periods where it really blew (15ish?) scattered throughout the afternoon. Randy and I were all I saw. I had 8.0 on 11' Exocet WindSUP.

Hope to be at VP around 10-10:30
I will join everybody later afternoon.
Not sure which sails to bring for foiling.

+1 at VP, hopefully by 11 - looks like another 8M day!
I am also shooting for 10:30ish
FX has softened quite a bit - so the question is what Oman B to bring along 😆
Galt's Ferry @ 1200 looks/feels like 5-10.

I''m betting that's when Windlord decided to rig his 11 meter....

Glad to see y'all at VP. The lulls left space for great conversations.
Here's how it looked to me during the gusts.....
