Between LLSC and Old Fed, most windsporters in quite a while and the most diverse group of windsporters ever. Nice pictures!

Hopefully someone will report from Galts as well.

Unsolicited Hartwell report: I launched at Singing Pines down near the dam on the SC side (it’s finally open!) and was on the water by 9. Had the park, and the whole lake, all to myself until perhaps noon-ish (unfortunately Asheville Janes couldn’t make it). Morning hours were overcast, windy, with a wee bit of rain. It was great! Wind lightened in the afternoon and the sun came out - all pretty much exactly as forecast. Just a few big boats out sailing from Big Water Marina...and later I saw a couple of Kiters too far upwind of me on the GA side adjacent to Long Point. Started off with a 6.6 in the morning, soon rigged down to a 5.7, then back up to 6.6 early afternoon, and finished it off with a 7.5. All in all...yesterday was like an all-you-can-eat buffet for the famished...and I over-indulged ... leaving me very sore. But happy : ). Glad you all had a good one too!!!

Your reports are always welcome! Thanks for sharing the pics! I love the top one especially. Can I use it elsewhere?

To webguy - Absolutely. Singing Pines is a great spot. It can get busy with beach goers in normal years...in the summer...on weekends. But other than that it’s a great launch and good for just about any winds from the north, through the west, and to the south

That looks like a nice launch.
Any Mountain bike trails and camp sites close by there?

S.C.’s Sadler’s Creek state park is perhaps 10 minutes to the north by car.... maybe 5 minutes by windsurfer in good conditions Good

They have a couple of camping loops, one of which is immediately on a sheltered section of lake (but limited sites are on top of each other, and shoreline access isn’t the easiest), while the other loops are more spread out and heavily wooded (a few sites are on the water, but kind of deep into coves) They do have a measure of a trail system... but not sure how long and I couldn’t say for sure what their attitude is towards mt.biking.

If a windsurfer found themselves camping there... the best launch for access to the bigger open water to the south would be from the park’s day use area, which is also where the park office is (but you’d still need to drive your gear from camping loops...and so you might just want to go on down to singing pines). I have been there just for day-use windsurfing a few times too, though.

(I see I still haven’t worked out this quoting system Lol )

Thanks for the Old Fed. photos. Meanwhile over at the Sailing Club as the wind died, and Alan & Josh put away their gear.
