We are planning to go probably to Galts after lunch. It's supposed to be ESE wind direction, but if it goes to SE, what are the options at Allatoona if Galts won't do? Acworth Beach? The boat ramp close to I-75? Someone once mentioned a location at Red Top Mountain but I can't remember exactly where to launch and for which prevailing winds. Another good 9.0 day at Tidwell! Anyone sail at Galts or Van's Tavern? Strange that the wind dropped off almost exactly at 12 noon. (I realize it is expected to do that, but I always thought that the wind would ignore Daylight Savings time and quit at 1pm.)

I got to Galts at 3:30 and sailed alone until 6:30. It was good enough in a shorty on Chris P.'s Astro Rock with my new Diva 4.8 practicing hundreds of tacks and jibes and getting better at throwing the sail around. Yep, getting that shortboard down... The wind was coming straight out of the east and never shut down the whole time I was there, some lulls now and then, but it was a great day. Some of you guys with the very large sails would have had a pretty good time. Where is everyone??
