I need the Chris Voith forecast for wind. all the info I look at says only 10-20 ENE. Chris always has the best forecast for big wind. Make my day. Trey
The January thaw is the traditional time for the Iceberg (formerly aka the IceMan... until Donna VH reamed me a new one for being a sexist pig) event. Sunday meets the criteria: >50º and 15+ (and diminishing chance of rain). I'm not seein' Big Sunday though.
If the current moves fast enough you guys may be able to sail even if there is no wind.
Just draw two chalk lines on the water and see how fast the dead fish move between them; that should tell you if the current is strong enough to make the needed apparent wind to be planning.
