Sat 4/7 ????

It looks windy but cold (my house has 35 degrees at 11:45), IF it warms up some, I may sail Van Pugh later in the day, maybe 3:00 or 4:00.

It's much warmer in Fairbanks, in the middle of Alaska, than at the Lake! We have last week's polar air here in Atlanta. I'm keeping my eye on the thermometer for a warming trend. Yesterday conditions were fabulous, ending with WNW wind of 25+ and water in the low 60's.

Shanna & I plan on stopping by to watch around 4:00. I'm not sailing as I'm recovering from the Flu. We're planning on having dinner at Sabor Latino ("the Chicken Place") in case anyone's interested.

Emilio and I made it out to Old Federal today. He was there starting at 1pm and had a nice 2 hour session till about 3:30pm at which time I showed up and took out his Sonic 2007 14 sqm which was being advertised as an 11.... Luckily the wind dropped a bit but during the gusts I was more or less gliding... A little scary.

I'm a big fan of the Sonic 06 bar where you have full depower. The 07 bars limit the amount of depower. It made me real nervous especially since I was actually on a 14. I did enjoy not having to rig anything. Show up put on the wetsuit and head out. Nice.

Emilio went out after I did but the wind was up and down and didn't have the pop it did earlier.
