Sailing Report Van Pugh Tuesday Nov. 6th

Well, it was 60 degrees, the water was warm, sailed a 6.6 all day, fully powered and planning all day, not often overpowered, not often slogging.

So now for what was wrong. Sky was blue, dirt was brown, water was low ( so what! ) and the graves are still on Bozo Island.

I sailed with Randy, Barrett, Voltaire, Michell and his dad, Alan, Chris P. and what appeared to be his better half, Joe and don't let me forget the one and famous master seller of used windsurfing gear the one and only Gene Mathis aka duck jibe romeo.

So that's the information, you decide what type of day it was. Oh, and by the way, if you ask Barrett he will think it was a fantastic day because that is exactly what type of day it was.

Too bad January is knocking on our door.

dedication

It was a great day, good to sail with you guys again!

I just want to let everybody know how dedicated Gene is to his customers.

While we were all at Van Pugh sailing Gene was patiently waiting at home for some of our equipment to be delivered! You just dont see that kind of customer service and dedication anywhere anymore ...

Bravo Gene...Bravo!

It was a great day - even more wind than Sunday, though I sailed 5.2 both days. The water is getting colder by the day, however, and the lake is getting lower all the time. Better sail as much now as we can!!

What happens in a black hole stays in a black hole.

Just to let everyone know, I did sail yesterday, got to Van Pugh around 1:00. I was waiting on Barrett’s new 2008 JP Freestyle Wave to arrive. It was scheduled to arrive around lunch and actually did. No problem, BUT WindSense is customer service oriented. Thanks for the plug, Alan (Alan also helped me test the new HPL booms that had just came in.)

And what a great day we had. I sailed my 6.0 on my 104 liter board, lots of wind, not many holes and we had a good crowd. It was our first classic cold front, with the wind picking up and the temperature dropping. It actually only dropped to around 50 degrees but felt a lot colder. Great Fun!

The FALL SAILING SEASON has begun.
