Richard wants to go Wed morning

Easterly dots wed morning. I can't go but Richard was expressing interest. Looks like first of fall weather pattern beginning.

fwiw, these breezes usually peak around 10:30-11 and are done by 12-12:30 as day heats up.

Thanks for posting for me! I was just going to do so. If I go, I'll go earlier :-).

Al said a few people are looking at Tidwell - I will look there if work does not conspire against it.

Tidwell went well - wind was on the early side. Al and Randy were out there - great to see them!
I have no GPS tracks, the watch locked up.
It was short and fun - used Neil's 8m to fly for the first time on that wing - all smiles.

Re: Richard wants to go Wed morning

Definitely an enjoyable session. Wind was solid and I covered 14 miles in a little over an hour. As expected, it did start dropping towards the end. Unfortunately my wing deflated while I was out on the water. Big thanks to Randy with his foil drive for noticing and swapping my deflated 5m wing for his fully functional 5.3, thus saving me from a long paddle back in. As he mentioned, Richard caught the tail end and I was impressed with the angle he was able to point upwind. Mike wasn’t able to get out early as planned but after we left he managed to get a few runs in with his 6.1 before it shut down completely.

Al
