I think this was posted somewhere here before but I couldn't find it. Which really sucked because Richard had asked me if I had a copy of it a few weeks back. I looked and looked but couldn't find it anywhere. Today, I was poking around my home computer and clicked on a file and there it was!
Richard Genet - kiter, winger and OG windsurfer: Hawaii 1979! He was a young lad living there at the time.

Thanks for finding this William, I will find my original some day - haha. Thanks for the compliment Chris (great person, hang glider flyer, windsurf olympics trials, head of Fall Classic regatta for many years, etc!). Like many of y'all, the first time I surfed, windsurfed, heard of kiting, heard of foiling, I knew I was in. Yes, William is an awesome person too and they both enable this great community of cool people :-). It's probably ok to repeat that now and again.
Having learned on the original windsurfer during a family trip to the big island of Hawaii, I thought we were early to take up the sport in Atlanta, but I see you predate us starting in 1979. Glad to see you’re still avid boardsporters.
