Is there a windsurfing regatta at LLSC this weekend?
i think they have a general regatta with a boardsailing class. i am part of the georgia tech sailing club and a bunch of people are going to sail in the regatta. im not really sure how the windsurfing part works (ie what kind of sails / boards are allowed etc.) heres a NOR link
Yes the Reggae is open to anybody. If there aren't five WSers, you can enter the Portsmouth fleet & race with dinghies. The Portsmouth rating system hasn't discovered jumbo sails. The rating only IDs sail size over or under 7 meters. So you can bring out your 13.5 Formula kit (or longboard) and smok'em.
Sorry about not posting anything on this. We are at the beach this weekend and so I haven't given it much thought. But this IS really a fun regatta. There will be hundreds of boats & sailors. Very festive on Saturday p.m.-- Steel Drums, rum, Jamaican victuals, wild dancin' & mild debuachery likely also. It looks like nice camping weather too- (free at the race site).
