Panama City State Park

I am heading down there with my son for a week the first of June. Has anyone sailed at the state park? The bay side looks like it would be good. I am not up to wave sailing so that is out. I sailed at the bridge years ago but would like to stay at the park to avoid loading and unloading. Let me know what you think.

dont be shy of the beach side if there is a onshore breeze, after you get past the small shore break you can reach up and down the beach
and see all kinds of critters in the water, it's great.

Saint Andrews State Park on the Bay side is ideal for teaching and playing on equipment with small fins( shallow water). Out at the beach you can easily sail over to Shell Island, just make sure novices go at slack tide because it really rips thru the narrow channel at low tide. Check out the fresh water lake near the beach, often has gators.
