Outer Banks - Wed. Morning 4-18-07

Another great session in Nags Head with steady North wind. Randy was out at 7:30 AM on a 5.2m. I joined him on a 5.7m at 8:30 AM followed soon after by Albert on a 5.2m. We sailed together until shortly before noon and the wind is still blowing.

OK Trey & Gene, all together now - WE LOVE THIS PLACE !

A steady AND cold wind, but yes -- another fun session (in Rodanthe)! Not the early bird here -- did not make it onto the water until later in the morning. Started out on a 4.7 and then a 4.2, and finally wrapped up around 2pm. Just a little chop which made for good jibing conditions.

Wednesday, 5.2 on 104 liter, like Elizabeth said, good for jibe practice, I need it.

I cant believe we've had so much wind in a row, 4 days and my biggest sail has been my 5.2. Love it!.

Thurs, sailed 7.0 on 104 liter board, super flat water, worked on jibes for several hours, getting worst instead of better, must be too flat. Then Nitrojiber (chris) came out and nailed a laydown duck monkey 360 jibe right in front of me.

Another good forecast for today.

Thursday & Friday we had more good sailing at Nags Head. We sailed 5.2's until 1PM, then while eating lunch the North wind died. What an amazing week. With six days on small stuff.

I agree, What A Week! I sailed 4.7 today (Friday) with nice ramps at the channel markers.
