October 27, 28, and 29 Fall Showdown and Hybrid
Championships Windsurfing Regatta, Fort Walton Beach
FL
The Racing will take place at the Fort Walton Beach
yacht club (http://www.fwyc.org), and the Event Hotel
is the Ramada Beach Resort (1-800-874-8962).

Friday the 27th there will be practice races and a
welcome party following at Liquid Surf and Sail. All
racing will be held saturday and sunday.

I am planning to go. I've sailed in that area many times, and its a really nice place. Like Atlanta, usually big boards and sails are the call. Its warmer than here and the water is pretty shallow (like less than neck deep) quite a ways from shore in the bay. Winds are much less gusty than Atl, as well.

I'm planning on sailing in the longboard fleet with a 8.5 or 7.4. (I was told that the longboard fleet doesn't limit sail sizes.)
