Good chance to get sand and salt off my 8 and try the new board too π
I am in - on the early side though as the wind seems to taker off as the day goes on. I would like to be on the water by 10, out by noon.
Hamdi was de-rigging when Rhett & I arrived about Noon. He reported foiling with an 8.0m sail in the morning.
Lucky for us the wind picked up and it warmed up to about 50ΒΊF. I was rigged right foiling with a 6.7m sail. Rhett inflated a 6.5m wing. Unlike yesterday, it fell comfortable in a 4-3 wetsuit & I was able to pack up in the sun without wearing a coat.
I think we need to have an intervention with someone. A year ago, he almost escaped the clutches of windsporting. Now, he's seriously spiralling downhill. When you start getting race gear, you are doing the hard, dangerous stuff they warned you about in those after-school specials.
(I'm super happy for him. He had a great time today. Fun to see him push his boundaries.)
