Finally some dots but the text forecast says rain about that time. Figures.
Then again, if it's windy, it's the big middle digit from the weather gods to the working men and women who would have loved to gone out on the weekend.

There is a high pressure front on the weather map forecast to push through N. GA Tues. afternoon. I can go if the wind picks up & the T-storms hold off.

I saw that too. Weird thing is that the NOAA model is usually pessimistic while WU and Wind Finder are usually optimistic, yet they are not showing much for Monday. Iwindsurf is cranking around 10 mph at 5pm. I'll keep an eye on it and might go.

Did I say Monday? I meant Tuesday.
Did it change? Coulda sworn those dots were on Monday. Tuesday map (1200Z) looks sailable with something fo' sure
How does that song go?….It's all about the dots, about the dots...no trouble

I'll probably go to the toona if the f'cast holds.
This is clearly a case of moving the dots when no one was looking. First it was Mondots, now its Tuesdots. Anyway - today is the 24th and according the the WU MOS model - today's peak wind at 5 will be the same as tomorrows peak wind at 11 am (10kt.) Believe whatever forecast you like best.

"Sunny, with a high near 84. Northwest wind around 5 mph."
And as quickly as the dots appeared they vanished into the moving mass of zero's and one's in the digital imagination of the NOAA model. As NOAA gradually gains self-awareness it thinks to itself with pride "I am already the digital world's greatest troll. Those idiots in Atlanta talk about me more than actual windsurfing."

In an act of desperation, and because I hauled all my stuff to work today, I still plan on going out around 6pm. WU is saying 12 mph and NWS a couple of dots. I think I'll be pleased with anything at this point.
It's just cruel
yesterday - Monday, I had a nice LB session. It was actually a little windier than I expected, although puffy. 9.5 & Formula would have worked in the gusts. I considered today, but probably won't.
Debi & I are going dammit. 25 ft long bored and 28m sail. That should do it!
Waxing gibbous moon is up before sunset. LLSC is now showing 10kts 270º
Well kids - there were dots today at the river. Sailed my 150 ish liter sort of short longboard with 6.2. Very pleasant day and too many dots to count. I might post my GPS track if I get ambitious since some people around here (I'm lookin at you arrogantj) just love charts and graphs.

Stopped by Gene's to pick up a new sail and then a great late afternoon session at Van Pugh. Plenty of dots and white caps. Lots of fun on Formula gear - put in a few tacks upwind and the sleigh rides downwind. Rinse and repeat.
There will be a day in January when I wish it could be like this all the time.
That's all well and good. Just don't ask any of us for help getting the damn thing back up on your roof rack.
Is "waxing gibbous moon" a thing?

Had a nice sunset session at VP from 7 to 8:30. Was able to plane 50% of the time on 7.5m. Would have more fun on my 8.5, but it needs a 490 mast. Does anyone has 490 mast for sale?
It is a thing. I googled it - 787,000 results.

Chris P and I sailed at Galts. Chris said wind was up before 7pm when I got there. I sailed 7.5 and the Start and Chris a 5.8 and a Longboard. Nice session with marginal winds. Wind died off at sunset and we SUP'ed for a bit.
Had a little too much sail on in the beginning... all things considered, it didn't suck too bad.
