The National Weather Service just issued a wind advisory between 12-6PM Tues. That instills more confidence than the weather report predicting Monday's wind. I'll try to make it to Van Pugh just after noon.

I'll be at Van Pugh to sail and record some video. If the video turns out ok, I'll bring it to the club meeting Wednesday night.

Van Pugh

I'm new here. Today will be my first time seeing Lake Lanier, but I'm stoked with directions to Van Pugh... I will be leaving straight from work at 4:30... will anyone else be out there til dark?

I'm from Mid Ga and sailed Lake Juliette a good bit, and I'm anxious to experience Lanier. Is Van Pugh the best bet? It's the only spot my girlfriends Dad knew of windsurfers going to and then saw some comments here. Let me know, thanks.

Van Pugh is definitely the best on Lanier when the wind direction is from the NW, as it is today. There should be lots of folks out this afternoon, so you'll be able to get more info on other places to sail.
