Last Night's Rain

That was good for about 2+ ft in Lanier. Looks like 3 inches of precip.

Didn't help my basement much either.

I wonder how accurate the radar estimator thingy is. It's showing 5+ Shok

I suspect the thingy (Latin: Estimatori Thingus) is pretty accurate but reporting stations are sparse. I can't find a reporting station on that side of the lake - just using the NWS forecasts next station over is Canton which doesn't report. Gainesville reported about 3.5 inches of rain and PDK reported almost 4.

Whelp... this isn't good. The lake is already at 1074 (four feet above winter full pool). At this rate, we'll be able to launch from Peelskid's back porch or Gene's driveway.

Lake is in the parking lot at Holly park.

Edit 1/3/19

There is A LOT of debris in the water at Thompson Bridge this morning. I know that everyone would expect this considering the rain and lake level
But if I was in a boat I would have a lot of trouble not striking debris.

Considering some of the "spills" reported, best to avoid the "debris"

Gotta have the right gear, man. It makes all the difference. Biggrin
