Lake Juliette

FYI

I know alot of you dont sail juliette but just in case you ever want too
Park management has converted the dames ferry day use area (the point) to a camping area, the new day park is now beside where the boat docks are and unless it is blowing west or swest there is a very long schlog out to the main channel.

Forget about using your sinker, or coming in for a sail change! This is really depressing. Thanks for the update though.

They have been letting us go to the point lately since there hasnt been alot of campers and i am hoping jon can do his magic and keep getting us in there, i will keep you posted.

I guess if worse comes to worse we can all split a campsite

Maybe we could get a group of Atlanta sailors who've never sailed Juliette to go down and camp Friday & Sat nights when we have a good forcast and Souh wind. Short drive, camping's fun and experience a new lake.

Really awesome camping there. If there is s, sw or w winds, that would be a lot of fun since you can litterally sail from your campsite. I am not sure if they allow tent camping -- I'll need to check on that.

juliette camping

Juliette is one of the most peaceful lakes in georgia, no boats over 25hp
and they mainly stay at the northern end.
Tents were allowed last year, i dont believe they changed that yet.
