For those of you who never venture to scroll down to the bottom of the home page, I've added a nws graph of wind history at Gainesville. Because of formatting, I've purposely clipped it so you see the last, most recent data.

The red line is wind direction on the y axis 0-360. A bit cumbersome but gets the job done as I wasn't looking forward to writing something myself. It seems, at the moment, hourly data is the finest resolution available (ie nothing more frequent).
